CU Medical’s Remote AED Management System Gains Global Popularity

As cardiac arrest cases continue to rise in Korea, interest in efficient AED management grows.

As the number of cardiac arrest patients has surged in South Korea, interest in Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) has grown alongside a rising demand for more efficient AED maintenance solutions. In response, CU Medical Systems has developed and launched a Remote Management System (RMS) for AEDs in 2023, which is now gaining attention both domestically and globally.

Currently, CU Medical provides its RMS services in Korea as well as internationally, including in Japan and Singapore. The system enables AED administrators to monitor key functions through both a web interface and a mobile app. These features include real-time status checks, monitoring of consumables such as pads and batteries, tracking equipment location, and remote power control (on/off).

The RMS also sends real-time notifications via email, push alerts, and SMS messages when issues arise, significantly improving response times and administrative efficiency. This real-time management not only helps ensure AEDs are always ready for emergencies but also increases the chances of patient survival in critical situations.

A CU Medical representative commented, “We aim to maintain a competitive edge and continue leading the AED market by offering innovative and comprehensive services.”
